Limited Beta Program
This is an overview of the TalentDreams Limited Beta Mentoring Program for Members to gain a better understanding of what it is and what to expect.
OverviewBefore our public launch in January 2023, we want to work with a select group of Members to provide Member <> Mentor syncs, with the objective of gaining valuable feedback from these Members on their experience.
Members can learn more about the program here.
Who is a Member?A Member is between 15-22 years of age, interested to have access to a network of Mentors, and curious to learn from them. Today, that mentor network is constrained to a small group of Mentors, but we plan to launch in January 2023 with many more Mentors who will be available for Members to meet with.
What’s in it for you as a Member? As a Member you can meet with a Mentor you think might be interesting to talk to. Perhaps learning more about their life experience, hobbies, interests, travels or profession are of interest to you. Or perhaps you aspire to do some of these things and want to learn more about how the Mentor got to where the are, or what helped them do the things they have. Or maybe you’re like our founder was at 17 years old, when he wasn’t really talking to his parents and he was fortunate to have other resources he could turn to, even just for a brief conversation.
Life is tough, especially during the transition from late adolescence to early adulthood. If it was a boxing ring, it would be throwing punches and we’d be taking a lot of hits. But the more people, you have in your corner, rooting for you, handing you water, sharing their experience and giving you feedback, the better you’re probably going to look and feel when the bell rings. All we want to do, with TalentDreams, is just put more people in your corner.
Who is a Mentor?Mentors at TalentDreams come from all walks of life, with diverse backgrounds and varying experiences. They’re available to speak 1:1 with Members who would like to hear about their experience, how they got to where they are, or what helped them do the things they have.
Our Mentors aren’t therapists. They're not here to tell you what to do. They are here to share ideas. Talk about what they’ve seen work well for themselves and others, and share their experiences. Our Mentors are just regular people who want to make a difference.
And in the process, it’s very possible you may learn something new, think about something you hadn’t considered before, or simply make a new friend.
We all need cheerleaders and champions. That’s where TalentDreams is here for you. How does it work? It’s a very simple process:

- After the Member creates an account, he or she will review their Mentor matches and request to meet with a Mentor.
- It may be possible for Members to meet with more than one Mentor over time.
- TalentDreams will schedule a 30-60 minute meeting for the Member to connect with the Mentor over Zoom.
- The Member will meet with the Mentor and the meeting will be recorded.
- The Member will have a separate debrief session with a TalentDreams team member, which will also be recorded.
That’s it! Very simple, very easy.
