Your Role as a Dreamer:

• Be yourself
• Be honest
• Be open to new ideas and perspectives
• Be willing to grow and learn
• Be nonjudgmental
• Come prepared with specific objectives to discuss
• Come prepared with clear goals
• Come prepared to take action on your goals
• Share your concerns, thoughts, and feelings
• Listen to your Champions’ responses 
• Ask questions
• Hope is everything; with it, you can achieve a tremendous amount of success

Behavior:

• Be respectful of the Champions’ time and show up on time
• Work at remaining open even if you disagree with a mentor. on something
• Be open, passing judgments closes you off from what you may learn or gain
• Champions are not here to fix; they are there to support
• Remember, your participation in the meeting and actions after can directly influence your life and future
• Express appreciation for the Champions’ time, ideas, and input
• All Zoom meetings are to be recorded. It is the responsibility of the Champion to start the recording at the beginning of each meeting 
• All conversations are to be of a professional nature, refraining from any topics regarding religion or politics 
• If you have a prior relationship with the Champion, you are to report this to the TalentDreams administrator
• If you are experiencing some sort of safety issue, please let us know immediately

As a Dreamer, you agree to:

• Never use alcohol, tobacco, or drugs when interacting with your Champion
• Never have firearms or weapons in any way part of your interaction with your Champion
• Never ask your Champion for money, gifts, or any kind of financial consideration
• Never meet your Champion outside of approved Zoom meetings
• Speak respectfully while in a meeting
• Be on time. If you need to cancel a meeting, contact your Champion as soon as possible
• Not to provide any personal contact information. This is in direct violation of the Dreamer Code of Conduct. All correspondence with Champions needs to go through TalentDreams
• Report any concern to TalentDreams staff, even if it seems trivial

Please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you find any part of the guidelines unclear or confusing. TalentDreams staff is available to assist you in any way possible. Your commitment and dedication to this program may be a profound experience. We hope that it is.

CONFIDENTIALITY

All the information you share with a Champion is confidential, and sharing that information with others is prohibited. However, Champions are required to report certain things. If a Dreamer confides that he or she is the victim of sexual, emotional, or physical abuse, a Champion must notify TalentDreams staff immediately. If you tell a Champion of your involvement in any illegal activity, the Champion must tell TalentDreams staff immediately.

In addition to the above confidentiality, all information shared with a Champion regarding intellectual property is the property of the Dreamer. No Championis to take any ideas or concepts of the Dreamer and apply them for their own use.

SUMMARY

If, for some reason, there is an instance where a Dreamer’s behavior is unacceptable in some manner, whether it’s a form of disrespect or a behavior issue, the mentor will politely and professionally end the call and immediately report the behavior to TalentDreams staff.

I have read, understand, and agree to abide by the TalentDreams Dreamer Guidelines & Code of Conduct. I understand that failure to adhere to these procedures may result in my removal from participation in the program.
