Mentors

Mentors Are A Vital Part Of TalentDreamsThey're invaluable resources to our member community. Do you feel like you've been fortunate in your life, have something to give back and are ready to do so?! We'd love to consider you as a potential Mentor for TalentDreams. The lift is small (as little as 30 minutes at a time, as often as you want) and the impact you could make is huge. So what does it mean to be a Mentor?Being a Mentor simply means you're willing to make time for one 30-minute call with a Member of TalentDreams who would like to hear about your experience, how you got to where you are, or what helped you do the things you have. Members are youth and young adults from ages 15-22.
Quick OverviewTalentDreams is committed to serving our Members, particularly those tackling the challenges, trials, and tribulations adolescence and early adulthood often bring. Through our mission, we strive to empower our community's youth and young adults to tap into their potential, and develop the confidence and skills to become the leaders they were born to be.
Our goal is to make mentorship and leadership resources easily accessible to all our Members. We want to help educate, challenge, inspire, and support the youth of our community. As Mentor, you play a key role in helping us achieve this.
How It worksMembers are able to create an account, develop a profile that includes things they're interested in learning more about, and our matching technology will identify the best Mentors in our database for them to speak with. Once the Mentor agrees to meet with the Member, we schedule the meeting which is then done over Zoom.
What does being a Mentor involve? As much as you’d like to give. All it involves is that you're willing to meet 1:1 with a Member of TalentDreams for at least 30 minutes. You can do this as often as you like- could be once a day, once a year, or anywhere in between. Many mentors follow a quarterly schedule of availability, meeting with a Member once every few months. Others do so monthly. Your level of involvement is completely up to you. We believe there is a bright future ahead and the youth of today will lead us to it. We believe the youth of today deserve to have everything we can give them that will empower them on their journey. Our mission is to help educate, challenge, inspire, and support the youth of our community.
